Bhīmasena and Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s Speeches on Kṣātra-Dharma
कौरवं पज्चविंशत्या क्षुद्रकाणां समार्पयत् । दुर्योधनके धनुषसे छूटे हुए उन सभी बाणोंको नष्ट करके भीमसेनने उस कौरव- नरेशको पचीस बाण मारे
kauravaṁ pañcaviṁśatyā kṣudrakāṇāṁ samārpayat | duryodhanake dhanuṣaś ca chūṭe huye tān sarvān bāṇān naṣṭvā bhīmaseno 'sau kaurava-nareśaṁ pañcaviṁśati-bāṇair avidhyat ||
कौरवं पञ्चविंशत्या क्षुद्रकाणां समार्पयत् । दुर्योधनधनुर्मुक्तान् सर्वान् शरान् विनाश्य भीमसेनः पञ्चविंशत्या शरैस्तं नृपतिमाहनत् ॥
संजय उवाच
In the ethics of epic warfare, prowess is paired with discipline: Bhima first counters the incoming threat (destroying the shot arrows) and then responds with measured force, illustrating controlled valor within kshatriya-dharma.
Sanjaya reports that Duryodhana shoots arrows at Bhima; Bhima destroys or renders them ineffective and then retaliates by piercing Duryodhana with twenty-five arrows, intensifying the duel amid the Kurukshetra battle.
