विरराम रणात् तस्मात् पश्यतां सर्वधन्विनाम् । भीमसेनका यह अभिप्राय जानकर बुद्धिमानोंमें श्रेष्ठ कर्ण समस्त धनुर्धरोंके सामने ही उस युद्धसे हट गया
virarāma raṇāt tasmāt paśyatāṁ sarva-dhanvinām |
सञ्जय उवाच—स सर्वधन्विनां पश्यतां तस्माद्रणाद्विरराम। भीमसेनस्याभिप्रायं विज्ञाय कर्णो बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठः समागतधनुर्धराणां पुरतः तस्माद्युद्धादपाक्रामत्॥
