Collective might and loud resistance can fail before disciplined prowess and clear purpose; when leadership is aligned with higher guidance (here, Kṛṣṇa as charioteer) and skill (Arjuna), opposition becomes ineffective, revealing the moral and strategic weakness of a disordered host.
Sañjaya reports that the Kaurava-side warriors tried to stop Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna, shouting and struggling, but the pair remained unimpeded and advanced through the gathered kings in a single chariot, openly demonstrating their valor and passing on without being checked.
