वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse links outward prowess with inner integrity: true valor (parākrama) is described as satya—reliable, truthful, and consistent with one’s character—suggesting that martial excellence is ethically grounded, not merely forceful.
The narrator introduces Nakula with a cluster of epithets—youthful, heroic, handsome, intelligent, skilled, and wise—setting the stage for his active role in the battle sequence of the Droṇa Parvan.
