अश्वोंके मारे जानेपर भी उसी रथपर खड़े हुए प्रतापी भीमसेनने भीष्मजीके रथपर बड़े वेगसे शक्ति चलायी

aśvānke māre jāne par bhī usī ratha-par khaḍe hue pratāpī bhīmasenena bhīṣma-jīke ratha-par baḍe vega se śakti calāyī

सञ्जय उवाच—अश्वेषु निहतेष्वपि तस्मिन्नेव रथे स्थितः । प्रतापवान् भीमसेनो भीष्मरथं प्रति शक्तिं प्राहिणोद् बलात् ॥
