Those who truly understand the Lord’s nature take refuge in the divine disposition (daivī prakṛti) and worship with an undivided mind, because they recognize Him as the imperishable source of all beings. The teaching links right knowledge (jñāna) with wholehearted devotion (ananya-bhakti).
In Kṛṣṇa’s instruction to Arjuna on the battlefield, He contrasts people who fail to recognize His true power with the ‘mahātmās’ who, grounded in the divine nature, remain unwavering in devotion. The verse functions as a characterization of the highest devotees amid the broader teaching on divine manifestation and right worship.
