Viśvarūpa-darśana (The Vision of the Universal Form) — महायोगेश्वरस्य विश्वरूपदर्शनम्

सम्बन्ध-- अपनी प्रतिज्ञाके अनुसार विज्ञानसहित ज्ञानका वर्णन करते हुए भगवान्‌ने चौथेसे छठे शलोकतक प्रभावसहित सगुण-निराकार स्वरूपका तत्त्व समझाया। फिर सातवेंसे दसवें श*लोकतक युष्टि-रचनादि समस्त कर्मो्नें अपनी असंगता और निर्विकारता दिखलाकर उन कर्मोकी दिव्यताका तत्त्व बतलाया। अब अपने सगुण-साकार रूपका महत्त्व उसकी भक्तिका प्रकार और उसके गुण और प्रभावका तत्त्व समझानेके लिये पहले दो श्लोकोंगें उसके प्रभावकों न जाननेवाले

arjuna uvāca: avajānanti māṁ mūḍhā mānuṣīṁ tanum āśritam | paraṁ bhāvam ajānanto mama bhūta-maheśvaram ||

अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम् । परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम् ॥
