नक्षत्रेषु श्राद्धफलविधानम् (Śrāddha Outcomes According to Nakṣatras)
tatas taṃ ṣaḍ-adhiṣṭhānaṃ garbham ekatvam āgatam | pṛthivī pratijagrāha kārtasvara-samīpataḥ ||
The verse conveys that births aligned with destiny and dharma are upheld by a larger cosmic order: the Earth herself is portrayed as a guardian who receives and protects what must endure.
Bhīṣma narrates that an embryo, sustained through ‘six supports,’ is born and becomes a single embodied being; the Earth-goddess then takes up the newborn found near gold, indicating divine or cosmic protection surrounding the child.
