Reverence for Gaṅgā is presented as a universally compelling dharmic act: since even omniscient sages and the gods led by Indra honor her, humans too should seek her—implying faith in sacred purification and the ethical value of honoring what is revered by the wise.
A Siddha praises Gaṅgā’s exalted status, noting that great seers who know past-present-future and the gods with Indra attend and worship her; the statement culminates in a rhetorical question asserting that no human would refrain from resorting to Gaṅgā.
