आभासुरा गन्धपा धूमपाश्च वाचा विरुद्धाश्ष मनोविरुद्धा: । शुद्धाश्न निर्माणरताश्च देवा: स्पर्शाशना दर्शपा आज्यपाक्ष
ābhāsurā gandhapā dhūmapāś ca vācā-viruddhāś ca mano-viruddhāḥ | śuddhāś ca nirmāṇa-ratāś ca devāḥ sparśāśanā darśanapā ājyapāś ca ||
वायुरुवाच— आभासुराः गन्धपाश्च धूमपाश्च तथा परे। वाचा विरुद्धाश्चैव मनोविरुद्धास्तथैव च। शुद्धा निर्माणरता देवाः स्पर्शाशनाः परे। दर्शपाः केचिदाज्यपाः—एते देवगणाः स्मृताः।
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights the vast diversity of divine modes of existence—some beyond speech and mind—and points to a cosmological vision where purity and creative function define higher orders of beings.
Vāyu is describing extraordinary classes of devas and their subtle ways of sustenance and operation, as part of a broader enumeration/exposition of divine beings and cosmic principles in the Anuśāsana Parva.
