न हाधर्मतयाधर्म दद्यात् काल: कथंचन । तस्माद् विशुद्धमात्मानं जानीयाद् धर्मचारिणम्
na hādharmatayā dharmaṁ dadyāt kālaḥ kathaṁcana | tasmād viśuddham ātmānaṁ jānīyād dharmacāriṇam ||
भीष्म उवाच—न हि कालः कथंचन धर्मं अधर्मतां नयेत्; न च धर्मचारिणं दुःखेन कलुषयितुं शक्नोति। तस्माद् धर्मचारिणं पुरुषं विशुद्धात्मानमेव जानीयात्।
