Dāruka is Lord Kṛṣṇa’s charioteer; in this verse, after receiving instructions, he mounts the chariot and drives it forward.
The phrase “cāruṇānujam” refers to Cārudeṣṇa, a Yādava prince, identified here by relation as the younger brother of Cārū.
Faithful service means acting promptly and responsibly when given a clear duty—like Dāruka, who immediately carries out the instruction without hesitation.
