Cāṇūra could not tolerate that the audience was praising Kṛṣṇa so highly. Therefore he had to say something to the two brothers.
In the Mathurā arena, while the crowd comments and the instruments play, the wrestler Cāṇūra formally addresses Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, preparing to speak to them before the contest.
As Kaṁsa’s champion wrestler, Cāṇūra approaches them publicly to initiate the confrontation, setting the stage for the wrestling match central to this chapter’s narrative.
Even amid noise, pressure, and public spectacle, Kṛṣṇa remains steady—devotees can remember the Lord’s calm presence and keep inner focus on bhakti in challenging environments.
