Aditi’s Lament and Kaśyapa’s Instruction of the Payo-vrata (Milk Vow) to Please Keśava
api sarve kuśalinas tava putrā manasvini lakṣaye ’svastham ātmānaṁ bhavatyā lakṣaṇair aham
This verse shows that inner unrest reveals itself through visible symptoms, and a wise well-wisher notices and responds with care and inquiry.
Seeing Aditi troubled despite asking about her sons’ welfare, Kashyapa gently points out her inner unease to invite her to share the cause—her grief over the Adityas’ suffering.
Notice signs of stress in loved ones, ask with empathy about both outer circumstances and inner feelings, and create space for honest conversation and support.
