Meru-dānāni (Meru-Donations) — Kāmya-dāna, Month-wise Offerings, and the Twelvefold Meru Rite
अग्निर्देवः पूर्वाध्यायोक्तदानप्रकरणात् परं काम्यदानस्य सुव्यवस्थितं निरूपणं करोति—मासानुसारं निरन्तरपूजया सह दानविधिं, वर्षान्ते महाविधानं च। मासिकोपहाराः, केचित् पिष्टकृतप्रतिमारूपाः, तेषां फलानि च निर्दिश्यन्ते। ततः कार्त्तिके द्वादशविधं मेरुदानव्रतं प्रवर्त्यते, यत् भुक्तिं मुक्तिं च ददाति। मेरुः क्रममात्राभिः सुवर्णादिद्रव्यैः निर्मीयते, पद्मयन्त्रे प्रतिष्ठाप्यते, मध्ये ब्रह्मा–विष्णु–ईशाः, दिक्षु नाम्ना पर्वताः परितः। मन्त्रैः, गोत्रोच्चारणेन, वित्तकपटवर्जनेन दानप्रकाराः; सङ्क्रान्त्ययनग्रहणादिषु शुभकाला; सुवर्ण-रजत-अश्व-गो-वस्त्र-घृत-धान्य-तिल-खण्डमेर्वादि भेदाः च। अन्ते मेरुं विष्णोः स्वरूपत्वेन स्तुत्वा शुद्ध्यर्थं, कुलोन्नत्यै, स्वर्गप्राप्त्यै, अन्ते हरिसमीपगमनाय निवेदनं कृतम्।
