संसदि व्रीडयाऽश्रुत्य आर्थिभ्यः प्रददाति च । प्रतिदीयते च यद्दानं व्रीडादानमिति श्रुतम्

Transliteration

saṃsadi vrīḍayā'śrutya ārthibhyaḥ pradadāti ca | pratidīyate ca yaddānaṃ vrīḍādānamiti śrutam

Translation

Дар, который дают просителям в собрании из стыда (опасаясь дурной молвы) и который затем возвращают в ответ, известен как «врīḍā-дана» — дарение из стыда.
