तपसो महिमा
The Greatness and Typology of Tapas
शंखवीणामृदंगाश्च गजेन्द्रश्छत्रचामरे । भोगरूपाणि चैतानि एभिश्शक्तोऽनुरज्यते
śaṃkhavīṇāmṛdaṃgāśca gajendraśchatracāmare | bhogarūpāṇi caitāni ebhiśśakto'nurajyate
Раковины, вины и барабаны; царственный слон, вместе с царским зонтом и опахалами из хвоста яка — всё это образы наслаждения. Ими связанная душа привязывается и увлекается в желание.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
It lists symbols of royal pleasure and shows how bhoga becomes pasha (bondage): the soul grows enamored of sensory and status-based enjoyments, delaying turning toward Pati (Shiva) and liberation.
By contrasting outward enjoyments with inner Godwardness, it supports Lingopasana: devotion to Saguna Shiva (Linga) purifies attachment, and through that purity one matures toward realizing Shiva beyond all objects of enjoyment.
Practice deliberate detachment during worship—offer the mind to Shiva through japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and reinforce vairagya with Tripundra (bhasma) and steady daily puja rather than pursuit of display and luxury.
