देवस्तुतिः—नन्दिकेश्वरविज्ञप्तिः—शम्भोः समाधेः उत्थानम्
Devas’ Hymn, Nandikeśvara’s Petition, and Śiva’s Rising from Samādhi
भक्तेर्वश्यो महादेवो न साधारणतस्तुराः । अकार्यमपि सद्भक्त्या करोति परमेश्वरः
bhaktervaśyo mahādevo na sādhāraṇatasturāḥ | akāryamapi sadbhaktyā karoti parameśvaraḥ
Махадева воистину покоряется преданности, а не обычным средствам. Чистой и искренней бхакти Верховный Господь совершает даже то, что иначе сочли бы невозможным или недолжным.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Purāṇic teaching to the sages, in the Rudra Saṃhitā flow)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Establishes bhakti (śaraṇāgati) as the most direct means to receive Śiva’s anugraha; inspires pilgrimage with the attitude of surrender rather than mere ritualism.
Type: stotra
It teaches that Śiva, the Pati (Supreme Lord), is most readily moved by sincere bhakti; grace is not merely a product of external capability, but of inner devotion that softens the Lord’s response toward the seeker.
Linga and Saguna worship become fruitful when performed with heartfelt devotion; the verse emphasizes that Śiva responds to the devotee’s bhāva (inner offering) more than to mere formality, making the Linga a living focus for grace.
Practice steady bhakti through japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), offered with humility; simple Linga-pūjā with bilva leaves and Tripuṇḍra/bhasma remembrance can be done as an outward support to inner devotion.
