काली-परिचयः / Himagiri Presents Kālī (Pārvatī) to Śiva
जानंति बहवो भक्तास्त्वत्कृपां प्राप्य भक्तितः । शरणागत भक्तानां न कुत्रापि भ्रमादिकम्
jānaṃti bahavo bhaktāstvatkṛpāṃ prāpya bhaktitaḥ | śaraṇāgata bhaktānāṃ na kutrāpi bhramādikam
Многие преданные, благодаря бхакти, познают Твою милость после того, как обретают её. Для преданных, прибегнувших к Тебе как к прибежищу (шаранагата), нигде не остаётся омрачения, заблуждения и тому подобного.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Pārvatīkhaṇḍa account to the sages, with the verse reflecting the theology of refuge in Shiva)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Role: liberating
It teaches that Shiva’s kripā is directly realized through bhakti, and that true śaraṇāgati (taking refuge in Pati, Shiva) dispels bhrama—delusion, doubt, and misapprehension—leading the devotee toward liberation-oriented clarity.
Śaraṇāgati is practiced through concrete devotion—Linga-pūjā, mantra-japa, and reverent service to Saguna Shiva—by which the devotee becomes receptive to grace; that grace stabilizes the mind and removes भ्रम (confusion) that obstructs steady worship.
A practical takeaway is daily bhakti expressed as Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with sincere surrender, supported by Shiva-pūjā (often with vibhūti/Tripuṇḍra and rudrākṣa where traditional), cultivating refuge in Shiva as the remover of delusion.
