Так, освятив превосходную воду тем самым мантрой и затем вспомнив Господа Шиву, они все собрались вместе и окропили ею то тело.

Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Vaidyanātha
Jyotirlinga: Vaidyanātha
Sthala Purana: The verse depicts mantra-empowered water sprinkled on a body to restore life/wholeness, resonating with Śiva as Vaidyanātha (the divine physician) who removes affliction and grants healing by grace.
Significance: Healing, removal of disease and fear of death; seeking Śiva’s anugraha through sacred water and remembrance.
It teaches that outer ritual becomes truly effective when joined with Śiva-smaraṇa (remembrance of Shiva): mantra empowers the offering, and devotion directs it toward the Lord as the liberating Pati.
The verse reflects a Saguna-Shiva mode of worship where mantra and sacred substances are used with conscious recollection of Śiva—just as abhiṣeka to the Liṅga is performed with mantra and focused devotion.
Abhimantraṇa of water (charging water with a Shiva-mantra) followed by Śiva-smaraṇa, then sprinkling/ablution as a purification act—paralleling Shaiva abhiṣeka and protective rites.
