देव्याः क्रोधः शक्तिनिर्माणं च
Devī’s Wrath and the Manifestation of the Śaktis
निर्मितास्ता नमस्कृत्य जगदंबां शिवां तदा । जाज्वल्यमाना ह्यवदन्मातरादिश्यतामिति
nirmitāstā namaskṛtya jagadaṃbāṃ śivāṃ tadā | jājvalyamānā hyavadanmātarādiśyatāmiti
Тогда сотворённые шакти, поклонившись и воздав почитание Шиве, Матери мироздания, пылая сияющей мощью, сказали: «Мать, повели нам — укажи, что должно быть сделано».
Newly created divine feminine beings (Śivā’s emanations/śaktis) addressing Goddess Śivā (Jagadambā)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Significance: Models the proper hierarchy of divine service: emanated powers first offer namaskāra, then seek ājñā—mirroring temple liturgy where attendants and gaṇas act only by the deity’s command.
Mantra: मातरादिश्यतामिति
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
Offering: pushpa
The verse highlights śaraṇāgati (surrender): the manifested powers first bow to Jagadambā Śivā and then seek her command, showing that all energies act rightly only when aligned with the Divine Will of Śiva-Śakti.
It supports Saguna worship by portraying Śivā (Pārvatī) as the accessible, commanding presence of divine grace; in Linga worship too, the devotee approaches with reverence and asks to be guided—recognizing Śiva-Śakti as the source of all action and power.
Adopt a devotional posture of salutation and inner obedience: begin japa (especially pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with namaskāra and a sankalpa to follow dharma, asking the Divine Mother and Lord Śiva to direct one’s mind and actions.
