शिवापि तं समुत्थाप्य स्वोत्संगे संन्यवेशयत् । कृत्वा मूर्ध्नि महास्नेहात् तन्मुखाब्जं चुचुम्ब हि
śivāpi taṃ samutthāpya svotsaṃge saṃnyaveśayat | kṛtvā mūrdhni mahāsnehāt tanmukhābjaṃ cucumba hi

The verse highlights Śivā (Pārvatī) as the compassionate Divine Mother whose tender affection reflects anugraha (grace). In Shaiva understanding, such motherly love becomes a sacred model for bhakti—softening the ego and making the devotee receptive to Śiva’s liberating presence.
While Liṅga worship points to Śiva’s transcendent (nirguṇa) reality, this episode emphasizes saguna devotion through the intimate, personal leela of the divine family. It teaches that love and reverence for Śiva and Śivā in approachable forms can mature the heart toward the higher truth signified by the Liṅga.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate vātsalya-bhāva (devotion in the mood of loving care) while japa-ing the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and offering a simple mānasika pūjā (mental worship) to Śiva-Śivā, praying for softness of heart and purity of intention.
