Transliteration

sahasraśaḥ praviṣṭāste pātāle ca jijīṣavaḥ | palāyamānāste sarve bhagnāśā dainyamāgatāḥ

Translation

Тысячами они ринулись в подземный мир — Паталу (Pātāla), борясь за спасение жизни. Но все, в ужасе обращаясь в бегство, лишились надежды и пали в крайнее уныние и бедствие.
