Ракшасы привели к Раване, владыке ракшасов, лучшего из обезьян — связанного, но всё же подобного разъярённому слону в пору гона, неудержимого в могуществе.
The ogres presented the best of monkeys, Hanuman looking like an elephant in rut to Ravana, the demon king.
Dharma teaches that outer restraint cannot bind inner righteousness: Hanumān’s body is bound, but his dharmic resolve and truthful purpose remain unconquered.
Hanumān is formally presented before Rāvaṇa, and his formidable presence is highlighted through a powerful simile.
Indomitable strength under restraint: power held in check by will, not diminished by captivity.
