Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha
नाषडङ्गविदत्रासीन्नाव्रतो नाबहुश्रुत:।सदस्यास्तस्य वै राज्ञो नावादकुशला द्विजा:।।।।
nāṣaḍaṅgavid atrāsīn nāvrato nābahuśrutaḥ |
sadasyās tasya vai rājño nāvādakuśalā dvijāḥ ||
В жертвенном зале царя не было ни одного помощника-жреца, не сведущего в шести вспомогательных науках, неверного обетам, малоучёного или неумелого в богословском споре; и среди присутствующих брахманов не было никого, кто бы не владел этим искусством.
