Adhyaya 75 — The Fall and Restoration of Revatī Nakṣatra and the Birth of Raivata Manu
बलबन्धुर्महावीर्यः सुयष्टव्यस्तथापरः ।
सत्यकाद्यास्तथैवासन् रैवतस्य मनोः सुताः ॥
balabandhur mahāvīryaḥ suyaṣṭavyas tathāparaḥ | satyakādyās tathaivāsan raivatasya manoḥ sutāḥ ||
Балабандху, Махавирья, а также Суяшта́вья; и Сатьяка и прочие—таковы были сыновья Райваты Ману.
Naming progeny is not merely biological genealogy: it encodes continuity of dharma through dynastic succession, implying that social order is transmitted through lineages aligned to Manu.
Manvantara/Vaṃśa: while primarily manvantara material, listing sons also supports vaṃśānucarita (dynastic chronicles) within the Purāṇic framework.
The ‘sons of Manu’ motif symbolizes the diversification of a single cosmic law (Manu-dharma) into multiple governing streams in the world.
