Dhanaṃjaya’s Reassurance and the Opening Engagement
जनमेजय! जैसे वसन्तके प्रारम्भमें वनके फ़ूलोंकी मनोहर सुगन्न्ध सब ओर फैलने लगती है, उसी प्रकार दिव्य मालाओंकी पुण्यमय गन्ध वहाँ सब ओर छा गयी ।।
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Janamejaya! yathā vasantasya prārambhe vane puṣpāṇāṃ manoharā sugandhiḥ sarvato vistarati, tathā divya-mālānāṃ puṇyamayī gandho 'pi tatra sarvato vyāptā. Tatra devānāṃ tiṣṭhatāṃ ratnāni samadṛśyanta; ātata-patrāṇi vāsāṃsi srajaś ca vyajanāni ca.
Вайшампаяна сказал: «О Джанамеджая, как с наступлением весны по всем сторонам разливается чарующий аромат лесных цветов, так и там со всех сторон распространилось благочестивое благоухание божественных гирлянд. И были ясно видны драгоценности богов, восседавших в своих виманах, — а также их зонты, одежды, венки и опахала из хвоста яка».
