सप्तमेडब्दे गते चापि प्राच्यवत् स महाकवि: । ज्वलन्निव प्रभावेण दृढस्युर्नाम भारत,भारत! सात वर्ष बीतनेपर अपने तेज और प्रभावसे प्रज्वलित होता हुआ वह गर्भ उदरसे बाहर निकला। वही महादिद्दान् दृढस्युके नामसे विख्यात हुआ
saptame ’bde gate cāpi prācyavat sa mahākaviḥ | jvalann iva prabhāveṇa dṛḍhasyur nāma bhārata ||
Когда минул и седьмой год, тот великий поэт, пылая могуществом и сиянием, словно огонь, вышел из материнского чрева по древнему обычаю. О Бхарата, он прославился именем Дṛḍhasyu.
