evam āśā dṛḍhā tasya dhārtarāṣṭrastha durmateḥ

Translation

Вайшампаяна сказал: Так крепка была надежда того злонамеренного человека, что связал свою долю с Дхартарштрами; его ожидание закалилось в решимость, несмотря на нравственную опасность избранного пути.
