युगेष्वावर्तमानेषु धर्मो व्यावर्तते पुन: । धर्मे व्यावर्तमाने तु लोको व्यावर्तते पुन:,युगोंके परिवर्तन होनेपर आनेवाले युगोंके अनुसार धर्मका भी हास होता जाता है। इस प्रकार धर्मके क्षीण होनेसे लोक (की सुख-सुविधा)-का भी क्षय होने लगता है
yugeṣv āvartamāneṣu dharmo vyāvartate punaḥ | dharme vyāvartamāne tu loko vyāvartate punaḥ ||
Бхима сказал: «Когда века (юги) вращаются и сменяют друг друга, дхарма тоже отворачивается — угасая согласно наступающей эпохе. И когда дхарма так приходит в упадок, приходит в упадок и сам мир: его порядок, благополучие и условия, поддерживающие человеческую жизнь, уменьшаются вместе с ней».
