अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः
Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
ततः सा राममभ्येत्य जननी मे महानदी । मदर्थ तमृषिं वीक्ष्य क्षमयामास भार्गवम्
tataḥ sā rāmam abhyetya jananī me mahānadī | madarthaṃ tam ṛṣiṃ vīkṣya kṣamayāmāsa bhārgavam ||
Затем моя мать — великая река Маханади — приблизилась к Раме. Увидев там из‑за меня мудреца Бхаргаву, она стала просить у него прощения, признавая вину, возникшую по моей причине, и стремясь смирением и примирением восстановить должное и правое.
भीष्म उवाच
When conflict or wrongdoing arises through one’s actions, dharma is served not only by strength but also by humility: seeking forgiveness and making amends can restore moral order and reduce further harm.
Bhīṣma narrates that his mother, the great river Mahānadī, approached Rāma (Paraśurāma). Recognizing that the sage Bhārgava had been drawn into the situation because of Bhīṣma, she attempted to appease him and asked for his forgiveness.
