Gālava Completes the Horse-Gift: Garuḍa’s Counsel and Viśvāmitra’s Acceptance

The verse emphasizes restraint and adherence to established righteous precedent: even a powerful sage declares he will beget only one son and will follow the same socially accepted course others have followed, underscoring responsibility in matters of progeny and conduct.
Nārada addresses Gālava and states his intention to father a single son through the maiden in question, adding that he will proceed along the same path already taken by others—indicating participation in an arranged sequence or agreed plan concerning her and the begetting of sons.
