स्वर्गारोहणपर्व — तृतीयोऽध्यायः
Indra and Dharma’s Consolation; Celestial Gaṅgā Purification
शुभानामशुभानां च द्वौ राशी पुरुषर्षभ । यः पूर्व सुकृतं भुड्चक्ते पश्चान्रिरयमेव स:
śubhānām aśubhānāṁ ca dvau rāśī puruṣarṣabha | yaḥ pūrvaṁ sukṛtaṁ bhuṅkte paścān nirayam eva saḥ ||
Вайшампаяна сказал: «О бык среди людей, в жизни человека накапливаются две груды — благих деяний и неблагих деяний. Тот, кто прежде исчерпает плод своей заслуги, затем должен идти лишь в ад (чтобы претерпеть оставшийся грех)».
