Āścarya-kathana: Brāhmaṇa–Nāga Dialogue on Sūrya (Vivasvat) and the ‘Second Sun’ Phenomenon
अथ चिन्तयतस्तस्य कर्णाभ्यां पुरुष: स्मृत: । प्रजासर्गकरो ब्रह्मा तमुवाच जगत्पति:
atha cintayatastasya karṇābhyāṃ puruṣaḥ smṛtaḥ | prajāsargakaro brahmā tamuvāca jagatpatiḥ ||
Когда он пребывал в глубоком размышлении, явилась Личность — словно бы вспомненная и возникшая у самых его ушей. Это был Брахма, творец, порождающий существа; и Владыка мира обратился к нему.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that deep contemplation can become a doorway to higher instruction: when the mind is steady and intent, authoritative wisdom is presented through a divine source—here Brahmā, emblematic of cosmic order and the principles of creation.
A person who is reflecting is suddenly met by a manifested ‘Person’ identified as Brahmā, the creator. Brahmā, described as the lord of the world, begins to speak—signaling the start of a revelatory dialogue or instruction.
