यथा च नावं कौन्तेय कर्णधार: समाहित: । महार्णवगतां शीघ्र॑ नयेत्‌ पार्थिवसत्तम

Transliteration

yathā ca nāvaṁ kaunteya karṇadhāraḥ samāhitaḥ | mahārṇavagatāṁ śīghraṁ nayet pārthivasattama ||

Translation

Бхишма сказал: «О сын Кунти, лучший среди царей: как внимательный и стойкий кормчий быстро выводит ладью, вошедшую в великий океан, к её назначению, так и человек, познавший реальность согласно йоге,—утвердив ум в Высшем Атмане посредством самадхи,—после оставления этого тела достигает труднодостижимого высшего состояния».
