ततो मोहपरीतास्ता नापश्यन्त यथा पुरा । परस्परावमर्देन वर्धयन्त्यो यथासुखम्,मोहसे घिर जानेपर उनमें पहले-जैसी विवेकपूर्ण दृष्टि नहीं रह गयी; अतः वे परस्पर एक-दूसरेका विनाश करके अपने-अपने सुखको बढ़ानेकी चेष्टा करने लगे
tato mohapārītāstā nāpaśyanta yathā purā | parasparāvamardena vardhayantyo yathāsukham ||
Тогда, объятые заблуждением, они уже не видели вещей прежним рассудительным взором. Ища собственного наслаждения, они стали умножать своё счастье, попирая друг друга, — взаимный вред сделался средством личной выгоды.
