Transliteration

agnīn paricaran samyak svādhyāya-paramo dvijaḥ | vānaprastha-vidhāna-jño jājali-jvalitaḥ śriyā ||

Translation

Бхишма сказал: «Этот дважды-рождённый мудрец должным образом служил священным огням и превыше всего был предан свадхьяе — самостоятельному изучению и рецитации Вед. Зная предписанные установления лесной ступени жизни (ванапрастха), Джаджали сиял духовным великолепием, словно пылал светом.»
