संस्काराणामसंख्यानां कामात्मा तदवाप्नुयात्‌ । मनस्यन्तर्तितं सर्व स वेदोत्तमपूरुष:,कामनाओंमें जिसका मन आसक्त है, वह पुरुष स्वप्नमें असंख्य संस्कारोंके अनुसार अनेक दृश्योंको देखता है। वे समस्त संस्कार उसके मनमें ही छिपे रहते हैं, जिन्हें वह सर्वश्रेष्ठ अन्तर्यामी पुरुष परमात्मा जानता है

Transliteration

saṃskārāṇām asaṅkhyānāṃ kāmātmā tad avāpnuyāt | manasy antarhitaṃ sarvaṃ sa vedottama-pūruṣaḥ ||

Translation

Бхишма сказал: Человек, чьим умом движет желание, переживает во сне бесчисленные впечатления (самскары) и множество картин, возникающих из них. Все эти впечатления сокрыты в самом уме; Верховный Внутренний Владыка — высочайшая Личность, познаваемая через Веды, — знает их все.
