एवंविध॑ सान्त्वमुक्त्वा धर्मकामार्थहेतुमत् । प्रसादयित्वा राजानं गोमायुर्वनमभ्यगात्
evaṃvidhaṃ sāntvam uktvā dharma-kāmārtha-hetumat | prasādayitvā rājānaṃ gomāyur vanam abhyagāt ||
Произнеся такие утешительные слова, основанные на целях дхармы, артхи и камы, и тем снискав благоволение царя, шакал Гомаю угодил тигру-царю. Получив его дозволение, он удалился и ушёл в лес.
