असिं दृष्टवा तथा च्छिन्न॑ प्रगृह्ा महतीं गदाम्
asiṃ dṛṣṭvā tathā chinnaṃ pragṛhya mahatīṃ gadām
Санджая сказал: Увидев, что его меч так рассечён, он схватил тяжёлую булаву. По жестокой этике долга на поле брани, когда одно оружие подводит, воин должен тотчас взять другое,—непоколебимый в решимости среди нарастающего насилия схватки.
