स्थाने5स्मिन्‌ वस राजेन्द्र कर्मभिर्निर्जिते शुभै: । किं त्वं मानुष्यकं स्नेहमद्यापि परिकर्षसि,“महाराज! तुम अपने शुभ कर्माद्वारा प्राप्त हुए इस स्वर्गलोकमें निवास करो। मनुष्यलोकके स्नेहपाशको क्‍यों अभीतक खींचे ला रहे हो?

Transliteration

sthāne 'smin vasa rājendra karmabhir nirjite śubhaiḥ | kiṁ tvaṁ mānuṣyakaṁ sneham adyāpi parikarṣasi ||

Translation

Вайшампаяна сказал: «О лучший из царей, пребывай здесь, в этой обители, завоёванной твоими благими, счастливознамёнными деяниями. Зачем же ты и ныне всё ещё цепляешься и тащишь за собой узы человеческой привязанности?»
