The Crow-and-Swan Exemplum as Counsel to Karṇa
समेत्य च महावीरीौ संरब्धौ युद्धदुर्मदौ । ववर्षतुर्महेष्वासौ शरैरन्योन्यमाहवे
sametya ca mahāvīrau saṃrabdhau yuddha-durmadau | vavarṣatur mahēṣvāsau śarair anyonyam āhave ||
Санджая сказал: два великих героя сошлись лицом к лицу — оба пылали гневом и были словно опьянены яростью битвы. Эти могучие лучники сблизились на поле брани и, сцепившись в бою, осыпали друг друга градом стрел.
