जगमदग्निर्वाच स्थिरं चापि चल॑ चापि जाने त्वां ज्ञानचक्षुषा | अवश्यं विनयाधान कार्यमद्य मया तव

Transliteration

Jamadagnir uvāca: sthiraṁ cāpi calaṁ cāpi jāne tvāṁ jñānacakṣuṣā | avaśyaṁ vinayādhānaṁ kāryam adya mayā tava ||

Translation

Джамадагни сказал: «Будь твоя цель твёрдой или колеблющейся, я распознал тебя оком истинного знания — ты есть Солнце. Потому сегодня я непременно должен подвергнуть тебя наставляющей дисциплине, дабы ты утвердился в смирении и должном поведении».
