Jamadagni–Reṇukā–Sūrya Saṃvāda

शक्र उवाच अध्वर्यवे दुहितरं ददातु छन्‍्दोगे वा चरितब्रह्मचर्ये । अथर्वणं वेदमधीत्य वि्र: स्‍्नायीत य: पुष्करमाददाति

śakra uvāca | adhvaryave duhitaraṃ dadātu chāndoge vā carita-brahmacarye | atharvaṇaṃ vedam adhītya vīraḥ snāyīta yaḥ puṣkaram ādadāti ||

Шакра сказал: «Пусть тот, кто взял лотос, выдаст свою дочь замуж за учёного адхварью (жреца Яджурведы) или за чандогу (певца Самаведы), завершившего обет брахмачарьи. Или же, полностью изучив Атхарваведу, пусть тот человек — о герой — без промедления станет снатака (выпускником, окончившим ученический обет).»
