येष्वह:सु कृतै: श्राद्धैर्यत् फलं प्राप्पतेडनघ । तत् सर्व कीर्तयिष्यामि यथावत् तन्निबोध मे
Bhīṣma uvāca: yeṣv ahaḥsu kṛtaiḥ śrāddhair yat phalaṁ prāpyate 'nagha, tat sarvaṁ kīrtayiṣyāmi yathāvat tan nibodha me, niṣpāpa nareśa!
Бхишма сказал: «О безупречный царь, я полностью — и как оно есть на самом деле — опишу плоды, обретаемые при совершении шраддхи в определённые дни. Слушай меня внимательно, о безгрешный владыка.»
