Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
ब्रह्मा पितामह: पूर्व देवताभि: प्रसादित: । इमे नः संतरिष्यन्ति प्रजाभिर्जगती श्वरा:
brahmā pitāmahaḥ pūrvaṁ devatābhiḥ prasāditaḥ | ime naḥ santariṣyanti prajābhir jagatīśvarāḥ ||
Васиштха сказал: «В древние времена боги умилостивили Прадеда Брахму и вознесли мольбу: “Владыка, будь милостив, чтобы эти потомки Бхригу и прочих, охраняя землю, через своих детей и внуков избавили нас от беды. Пусть все они станут Праджапати и великими подвижниками. По благоволению твоей милости они в это самое время спасут весь мир от опасности”.»
