सर्वलोकचरं सिद्ध ब्रह्यकोशं सनातनम्‌ । पुरोहितमभिप्रष्टमभिवाद्योपचक्रमे

Transliteration

sarvalokacaraṁ siddha brahmakōśaṁ sanātanam | purohitam abhipraṣṭam abhivādya upacakrame ||

Translation

Бхишма сказал: «О царь, однажды Саудаса, правитель из рода Икшваку, прославленный среди ораторов, приблизился к мудрецу Васиштхе, своему родовому жрецу — совершенному и вечному риши, сокровищнице ведического знания, свободно странствующему по всем мирам. Поклонившись ему с почтением, Саудаса начал спрашивать так.»
