अपीडिता: सुसंवृद्धा ये ददत्यनुकूलत: । तादृशेनाप्युपायेन यष्टव्यं नोद्यमाहतै:

apīḍitāḥ susaṃvṛddhā ye dadaty anukūlataḥ | tādṛśenāpy upāyena yaṣṭavyaṃ nodyamāhataiḥ ||

Бхишма сказал: Те, кто благополучен и может давать богатство добровольно, не причиняя никому страдания, — на их дарах, либо на средствах, добытых столь же мягким путём, следует совершать яджну. Не должно начинать жертвоприношение на богатство, принесённое суровыми усилиями, вредящими народу.
