Daiva–Puruṣakāra Inquiry: Fate and Human Effort

यादृशं वपते बीज क्षेत्रमासाद्य कर्षक: । सुकृते दुष्कृते वापि तादृश॑ लभते फलम्‌

Bhīṣma uvāca: yādṛśaṃ vapate bījaṃ kṣetram āsādya karṣakaḥ | sukṛte duṣkṛte vāpi tādṛśaṃ labhate phalam ||

Бхишма сказал: «Как земледелец, придя на своё поле, пожинает урожай согласно тому семени, что посеял, так и человек получает плоды, соответствующие его деяниям — добрым или злым».
