Cyavana–Kuśika Dialogue on Lineage, Conflict, and Transmission
युधिष्ठिरने पूछा--पितामह! च्यवन मुनिके अन्तर्धान हो जानेपर राजा कुशिक और उनकी महान् सौभाग्यशालिनी पत्नीने क्या किया? यह मुझे बताइये ।।
bhīṣma uvāca |
adṛṣṭvā sa mahīpālas tam ṛṣiṃ saha bhāryayā |
pariśrānto nivavṛte vrīḍito naṣṭacetanaḥ ||
Бхишма сказал: Когда царь вместе с супругой, сколько ни искал, не смог найти того мудреца, он вернулся изнурённым. Охваченный стыдом и самоукором, он сделался словно без чувств — ум его был потрясён тем, что он не смог узреть подвижника, исчезнувшего из виду.
